Abstract
This study aims to obtain information on the implementation of the character of responsibility in history learning, the obstacles faced, and the efforts made by the teacher in implementing the character of responsibility in history learning. This research is descriptive qualitative with data collection instruments from observations, interviews, documentation. They are using three lines of analysis, namely data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The results showed that implementing the character of responsibility in history learning at SMK Negeri 2 Yogyakarta is contained in planning, implementation, and evaluation. Difficulties experienced by teachers include material compaction, lack of awareness of obeying the rules, lack of student learning motivation, lack of awareness in doing assignments, time constraints, and distance learning. For this reason, the efforts made by the teacher are choosing the suitable material, constantly checking attendance, setting an example, giving equal attention, giving opportunities, getting students used to doing their work, cooperating with parents, and giving sanctions.
