Abstract
This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of financial education on family and peers on students' financial literacy. This research is motivated by financial literacy which is a global problem and in recent years the desire to study individual financial literacy has increased due to the world financial crisis. Low levels of financial literacy are often associated with financial loss problems. The knowledge of financial literacy possessed by Indonesian students is still low, especially high school students. The population of this study were 200 students of SMA Darul Falah, Bandung Regency Class XI IPS with a sample of 133. The method used was an explanatory survey with data collection techniques through questionnaires. The results showed that 1) The level of financial literacy of students at SMA Darul Falah is in the medium category which still needs to be improved 2) Financial education in the family has a significant negative effect on financial literacy 3) Peers have a significant positive effect on financial literacy.
