Abstract

The covid-19 pandemic that has hit Indonesia has shifted the learning system in schools to distance learning or better known as online learning. The implementation of online learning that occurs has brought changes in learning activities that have an impact on students' learning motivation. For this reason, this study aims to analyze the level of student learning motivation during the implementation of online learning during the covid-19 pandemic. In this study, the researcher used a quantitative descriptive method. The subjects in this study were students of class XI at SMA Negeri 2 Samalantan, West Kalimantan. The research sample was determined through a cluster random sampling technique, namely a random sampling technique in groups. The sample chosen was all students of class XI IPA, totaling 30 students. The research instrument is a learning motivation questionnaire with 5 indicators, namely interest, student activity, learning effort, learning independence and time discipline. From the results of the study obtained an average result of 61.79%, which means that students' learning motivation falls into the category of high motivation
